Tröbnitz

Tröbnitz is a village with about 500 inhabitants, is situated in the Roda creek and Rothehofbach creek valley and is enclosed of rolling hills. The municipality is situated in the Saale-Holzland-District (SHK), which is formated after a area reformation from the districts Stadtroda, Eisenberg and Jena-country and is located in the East of the Free state Thuringia.
The place Trebenitz was mentioned the first time anno 1223, after the Sorben has stubbed a piece of country, in circumcircle of the estuary of Rothehofbach in the Roda. Because of this nice number (777), it has been celebrated with a big party in the year 2000. One point of the party was a pageant.
The years after (better spoken centuries), was marked through not very fertile agriculture. With the industrialisation had built a grind and cutting mill and a steam brewery, but both of them was not survivable after the turning from GDR to FRG.
